Question by anja00: My best friend betrayed my trust, should i stop talking to her?
I got sick last month and had to use the money that my parents gave me to buy the ticket to go back home to cover my medication and doc visits. While talking with my best friend how worried i was that maybe i couldnt make the money on time to buy my ticket, she offered( without me asking) to lend me half of the money. When time came i asked her for the money and almost 1 week she kept making excuses and than she told me that she would transfer the money in my account this way we could have a record. Eventho i got upset that she wasnt trusting me i accepted. Now today i called to buy the ticket and i told my friend that i needed the money and she texts me back saying ” sorry sth came up and i cant lend u the money”. I know its a big fat lie. Bcs she has no financial probs and if she did i would kno for sure. My aunt lent me the money anyways but she didnt even bother to ask me what ws i going to do or apologize properly. I have done a lot for her, even lended money before and now she does that. Im deeply dissapointed. Should i stop talking to her?
@ kimberly, I do have lots of friends, but she is my best friend and i dont like to ask ppl for money, if it was like that i would ask my parents, that would send it to me right away. BUT she offered for it. And its not about the money, its simply the act. I have waited for her 5 months or more to give me back the money and never mentioned it to her. Plus i was gonna pay her back my next friday and she knows that. I simply belive that she is upset with me about sth, even tho she said no.
